The Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) members are at the heart of the management of sports clubs throughout Europe and beyond. The CMAE members represent sports as diverse as golf, tennis, sailing, rowing, rugby, football and cricket, and the membership also run health & fitness clubs, leisure, city and dining clubs located throughout Europe, Middle East & Northern Africa.

Why is the Kerry London Bursary for CMAE members so important?
At the core of the CMAE’s offering to members is a structured education programme, called the Management Development Programme, which is designed to help club managers excel in their jobs and further develop their career in club management. In addition to this, each year, the membership has the opportunity to gather together at their annual conference to share knowledge and ideas, hear latest thinking in sports management and network with their peers. The Kerry London Bursary enables two CMAE members to attend conference each year – a fully-funded opportunity which underpins Kerry London’s commitment to the future of sports management development.
Continuing professional development for sports club managers
Working in partnership with European Club Education Foundation (ECEF) Kerry London Insurance support an annual bursary to enable two CMAE members to join the Club Managers Association Europe’s European Conference.
Each year Kerry London Insurance and ECEF look for a sports club manager or Supervisor who stands out in wanting to improve their knowledge and further their career in sports management. We both understand that supervisors and club mangers with access to a range of professional development opportunities make better decisions for their clubs, in particular around risk.
