Private ambulances: Blue Light insurance protection
Private ambulance crews are in high demand. The NHS is booking them up to a year in advance to be available to respond to emergency incidents such as road traffic accidents and stroke patients.
High risk work
Many private ambulances face unprecedented pressures as they work hard to support the NHS crews to meet response times, particularly for critically ill patients. Dealing with NHS pressures is more demanding than traditional private ambulance public events, and the risks are higher. Responding to patients facing ambulance delays, transporting the deceased, and caring for patients in emergency vehicles outside hospitals are common issues.

Medical malpractice insurance covers claims for negligent treatment of a patient that caused them physical or mental harm or even death. The circumstances surrounding malpractice claims can be very stressful, but medical malpractice insurance helps by paying for legal defence costs and compensation, regardless of whether a claim is justified and proven.
Medical Malpractice policy provides invaluable cover for advice and treatment, stock, equipment, contents, and business interruption. It includes worldwide cover (excl. US), Employers’ Liability, Public Liability, and Professional Indemnity.
